Modern Squares

This quilt features squares of Japanese prints taken from my personal collection of fabrics, bought, found, and gifted over many years.

The mix of blues, with a touch of green and red, sits quietly on a background of pale grey linen/cotton mix.

The stitched pattern is a soft clamshell pattern evocative of traditional sashiko stitching.

These quilts are labours of love taking many days, weeks, and sometimes months to design, construct and quilt.
