Are you a skilled craft maker or designer working in County Cork? Then we would love to hear from you.

Being a member of Cork Craft & Design has many benefits including:

  • Be listed as a member on the CCD website
  • Apply to sell work in the CCD shops
  • Sell work online through the CCD website
  • Join CCD WhatsApp community for collaborations and info sharing with other members 
  • Apply to take part in exhibitions and workshops during Craft Month
  • Avail of PR opportunities through the CCD PR company 
  • Be put forward for media opportunities as requests arrive 
  • Be kept up to date on news and events
  • Take part in product photography scheme when it arises
  • Proudly display the CCD member logo on your own website 

Becoming a member:

  • Membership is open to skilled and experienced craft makers / designers residing in Co. Cork. 
  • All membership applications are reviewed and approved in line with Cork Craft & Design’s established standards.
  • Craft makers/ designers shall not be accepted as members until their membership fee is paid.
  • Cork Craft & Design does not represent painting. 

How to Apply:

Applications are assessed by a voluntary committee who review applications 3 times a year. Submission dates for applications are as follows:

  • 31st March 2026 (applicants will be notified by 30th April 2026)
  • 31st May 2026 (applicants will be notified by 7th July 2026)
  • 30th September 2026 (applicants will be notified by 31st October 2026)

Please note that our applications close from October to December every year.

Members are preferably registered with the Design and Craft Council of Ireland. If not registered with the Design and Craft Council of Ireland, the committee can recommend to the Board to accept or refuse an application for membership, depending on the quality of the applicant’s work.

Once a member is accepted into membership, she/he will continue to be a member as long as the annual subscription is paid, when due. A lapsed member will be eligible to apply to re-join the group. Such an application will be treated as a new application for membership.

The current annual membership fee is €85 per individual & €125 per couple (working in 2 different disciplines). 

Existing members who wish to present work in a new medium are asked to submit an application form and images for this new medium. It is important to demonstrate the makers skill and experience in this new area in their application

Cork Craft and Design is run by a small team with the support of its members. All CCD members are asked to contribute to the organisation by volunteering their time. You can give details of how you can contribute in application form.
