Soie De Vivre

Soie De Vivre grew from Michael Walls award winning Salvagem Antique and Interiors store on MacCurtain Street, and has become a much loved offering.

Custom-made shades in linen, cotton, and tweeds, along with high end designer fabrics such as Morris & Co. and Scalamandre feature in the range. Many in the range are fully recycled from vintage fabrics, Irish linens and tweeds, as well as repurposed from traditional natural fabrics.

Emphasis is on hand-made, and while the contemporary drum shades prove popular it's the hand-stitched, hand-sewn traditional shades that are most desired. As well as being stocked in CCAD, Soie De Vivre is a member of the Design Crafts Council of Ireland, with the studio based in Benchspace in Cork's Marina Commercial Park.
