Étáin

Étáin is a meeting of beautiful transparent enamel glass and textured hammered copper.

I used and celtic swirl symbol hammered into the copper to enhance the ancient beauty of the metal and continue its story.

Pale blue, mid blue and red opaque swirls of molten glass pop and create a piece of art you wear.

Each piece is handmade in my studio in East Cork, individually designed and created, with no pair ever the same. Crafted from copper and enamel, I use hand-firing techniques to melt glass directly onto the metal, creating that rich, organic finish without the use of a kiln.
